Political neuroscience examines how cognitive and neurobiological processes are shaped by ideologies. Leor Zmigrod's project considers how political neuroscience can augment our understanding of how, why, where, and when political structures shape the minds and bodies of citizens, as well as whether the effects are coercive, destructive, or liberatory. By proposing a marriage between brain sciences and political philosophy, we can create a ‘political philosophy of mind’ that illuminates the workings of ideologies in new ways.
