Knowledge Evolution and Dynamics: A cross disciplinary and cross sector perspective
Workshop organized by Deshen Moodley and Lea Funfschilling, 2023-2024 Paris IAS Fellows.
Closed to the public.
Presentation
Lea Funfschilling and Deshen Moodley are hosting a workshop with PhD students from both their groups at Lund University and University of Cape Town and possibly one or more fellows/collaborators.
The workshop will explore the area of knowledge dynamics, knowledge synthesis, and knowledge evolution from a socio-technical perspective. i.e. from a social science and a computer science (AI) perspective. We will explore the interplay and co-evolution of the social dynamics in different sectors (health and energy), and the emergence and evolution of advanced information technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and how they impact on these sectors. Bringing both a social and technical perspective is crucial for understanding how these complex systems evolved in the past and how they will evolve in the future.
