Presentation

In 2020, Claudia López's administration introduced an unprece-dented urban infrastructure project - the Green Corridor on Carrera Séptima. This initiative prioritizes sustainable mobility, allocating over half of the road space to pedestrian-friendly areas, cycling lanes, and efficient public transportation, benefiting vulnerable citizens. The long-term vision is to institutionalize the approach, becoming a repli-cable model globally. Inspired by Paris' “15-minute city,” green corri-dors can facilitate sustainable mobility and re-naturalization of public spaces where political will aligns. This research project is an opportunity to deepen research and shape this transformative project with collaboration from behavioral, cognitive, and social scientists, informing urban planning policies worldwide.
