Conférence organisée par Sophie Roux, Ecole Normale Supérieure, en partenariat avec l'ENS - PSL (Translitterae, République des savoirs), l'ENS de Lyon (IHRIM, ERC NOTCOM), Université Paris-Diderot (SPHERE, ERC PHILIUMM), l'Université Paris-Nanterre (IREPH, Extending New Narratives in the History of Philosophy), et avec le soutien de l'IEA de Paris.

Présentation

Dans la continuité du Séminaire Descartes, qui a été organisé de 2009 à 2019, le Forum Descartes est un événement annuel qui réunit des spécialistes de l’histoire de la philosophie et des sciences du XVIIe siècle, pour des échanges scientifiques contribuant au resserrement des liens entre collègues européens et américains et permettant d’encourager les jeunes chercheurs dans leurs travaux.

Les trois jours de cette première édition comprendront en particulier :
- des présentations des doctorants, qui seront suivies par des commentaires d’autres doctorants et par des discussions avec l’ensemble des collègues présents.
- une demi-journée consacrée à la discussion d’ouvrages importants qui ont été publiés récemment en histoire de la philosophie et des sciences du XVIIe siècle.
