RECSNA17 : Recent Ethical Challenges in Social Network Analysis

Colloque organisé par la Social Network Analysis Group of British Sociological Association (BSA-SNAG), en collaboration avec l'AFS et l'ENDL, parrainé par la MSH Paris-Saclay, avec le soutien de l'IEA de Paris.

La première journée du colloque se tiendra à l'ENS Paris-Saclay [ Salle Renaudeau ], et la seconde journée à l'Institut d'études avancées de Paris, Hôtel de Lauzun.

Présentation

Alimentée par des outils de calcul et visualisation de plus en plus puissants, la recherche sur les réseaux sociaux est en plein essor, mais suscite des enjeux éthiques et déontologiques qui échappent largement aux cadres règlementaires existantes. D’une part, la structure relationnelle des données complexifie l’application de principes basiques comme le consentement éclairé et l’anonymat ; d’autre part, de nouveaux problèmes surgissent lorsque ces données sont issues de plateformes numériques, avec brouillage de la frontière public/privé, et entrée en jeu d’intérêts commerciaux. Co-organisé avec une équipe internationale (Oxford, BSA, ENDL), ce workshop vise à faire avancer la réflexion en créant un espace de concertation, rassemblant des chercheurs aux horizons disciplinaires divers (sciences sociales, informatique, éthique). Le format choisi met en avant le rôle actif du chercheur, appelé à participer à la co-construction d’un cadre éthique et déontologique.
