Presentation
The research project studies how discrimination involves practices, behaviors and policies that perpetuate inequalities towards specific social groups when multiple discriminatory dimensions occur simultaneously, and discrimination becomes intersectional. Discrimination is commonly associated to situations in which an individual is treated less favorably than another entirely because they belong to a particular group or are perceived to exhibit a certain identity. The research project studies how negative associations may make their access to resources, rights, and opportunities exponentially more difficult when individuals are discriminated by more than one of their identities.
