Presentation
A review of the last decade in Europe reveals a pattern of ongoing turbulences and crisis: the financial crisis of 2008-2009, the annexation of Crimea in 2014, the illegal migration crisis in 2015, the Brexit vote in 2016, the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and Russia's war in Ukraine in 2022. Each of these events had significant implications for economies, political systems, and societal the well-being. The notion of "normal times" is over, necessitating recognition and action from policymakers.
This study will restrospectively analyse three crises and their management by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania: COVID-19, Chinese coercive measures in bilateral trade, and energy price inflation resulting from the Russian attack on Ukraine.
