This workshop presented here forms part of a broader interdisciplinary research programme entitled ‘Thinking the Senses’ that was launched following the conference ‘Qualia: Thinking the Senses’, Durham, Institute of Advanced Study, 28th-30th March 2008. It brings together an interdisciplinary team of researchers who have a common interest in theorising human relationships to the perceptible world and who are committed to a common programme of research extending over a period of 2 to 3 years. Its explicit aim is to formulate innovative small scale collaborative projects for further development and funding applications.
