This project examines the intersection of AI technology, mourning practices, and necropolitics in the digital age. It explores how AI-powered "ghostbots" and political deepfakes are reshaping our relationship with death, memory, and power. Drawing on anthropology, STS, and history, the research analyzes the ethical implications of digital resurrection, from personal grief to political manipulation. The project contributes to discussions on AI ethics, human-technology interactions, and the evolving nature of grief and commemoration.
