Presentation
Andrea Pinotti's research aims to explore the theological roots of relevant contemporary practices in digital technology. Crucial issues in the Christian tradition (Eucharist, incarnation, resurrection of the dead, bilocation of the saints, the eye of God, baptism by immersion or aspersion, the promise of eternal life) are being reformulated (albeit mostly in an unaware way) in VR, AR and AI. This study intends to bring these implications to light, also by adopting a perspective of comparative theory and history of religions.
