Connections between our modeling work on space-time geometries and the brain
This fourth session of the "Paris IAS Ideas" online talk series will focus on the production and perception of movements in the brain, and will be presented Tamar Flash, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.
This talk will take place at 4:00 PM Paris time | 10:00 AM New York | 3:00 PM London | 7:30 PM Delhi | 10:00 PM Beijing | 11:00 PM Tokyo, in English and online on Zoom, with previous registration there: http://bit.ly/IASIdeas
Presentation
Tamar Flash studies the neural representations of movement production and perception in the brain. Based on symmetry and optimal control theories, her work is devoted to decoding single cells and neural population activities subserving movement generation and perception. Such efforts can contribute to the understanding of the functional roles of different brain areas and to movement disorder studies.
