Presentation
While the historiography inspired by Elinor Ostrom has focused above all on the organizational aspects of the commons, other perspectives of investigation, from the history of the law to the history of space, from historical ecology to environment archaeology allow to identify new protagonists of the history of commoning. Furthermore, taking into account situations outside Europe will help to grasp the specificities of the old continent.
