The Institute for Advanced Studies of Paris (IAS Paris)

The mission of the Institute for Advance studies is to advance research in all disciplines which interact with and are of relevance to the humanities and social sciences.

The Institute receives internationally renowned scholars and scientists, supporting them to conduct their individual research projects through seminars, colloquia and scientific meetings, preferably in cooperation with French colleagues. The length of a fellowship varies from five to nine  months. Each individual candidate is subjected to a thorough assessment with respect to the excellence of the project and the scientific career. The process of selection is extremely competitive. The Scientific Advisory Board evaluates the applications. Its members are internationally recognized and independent researchers.
